Congratulations to Laura and Dan who were married yesterday and held their reception at the glorious Greetham Valley Hotel.

A brilliant couple, with great guests, and superb service by the hotel.  What more could a photographer ask for?.

We hope you will enjoy viewing just some of the photos we took for this couple:

The boys enjoyed the sunshine – and stayed pretty calm!

And then the love shone through!
Just one of the many detail shots
Celebrating at St Medards, Little Bytham
An intimate moment by the lakes at Greetham Valley
 Nothing too formal…..
Remember how bridal shots used to look?
 Well things have changed!
The little ones having fun
Congratulations Laura and Dan and our best wishes for a long and happy future together.

Congratulations to Helen and Peter on their magical day.
A wedding ceremony at New Life Church Lincoln was followed by a reception at The Lincoln Hotel with pictures also taken in the grounds of Lincoln Cathedral and looking towards Lincoln Castle.

Before the ceremony
A nice view of New Church
An inspiring ceremony
with nice views from above
from the hotel we walked to the Cathedral
for some great shots

then viewed Lincoln Castle
and then we moved back to the Cathedral grounds

And thank you for choosing my services

Well yes – more than one at this wedding!
Saturday saw a brilliant weding at Bisbrooke Church in Rutland.

Fun and games in the garden….

More than one way to photograph bridesmaids…..

Sometimes it’s all in the timing of the shutter……….

Friday saw a beautiful wedding in Lincoln with a shoot in the grounds of Lincoln Cathedral.

We had already decided to keep things informal and relaxed – I hope this comes out in the images:

Of course a stunning bride and bridesmaids does help!

We have been shooting this way since 1989 – don’t let others tell you they “brought it to this country”

Congratulations to Katie and Edward who braved uncertain weather yesterday for a great wedding at Lyddington Church and then Normanton Park Hotel

December 27th saw a wedding at Oakham Castle followed by Normanton Park Hotel on the shores of Rutland Water.

Gemma and Richard were blessed with both fine weather and also snow left on the ground from a few days earlier.

As we set off for the photoshoot some visitors passed by complete with sledge – and we all thought the same thing!  The shot below has been accepted by a publication and we hope to see it in print soon headed “get me to the church on time”
Thank goodness for all those years spent working for newspapers armed with one camera, one lens and one flashgun expected to get great results regardless of the weather or the lighting.  Now that’s experience and knowledge you can’t just buy.

Yesterday saw another wedding to photograph at Oundle – I have been blessed over the years with many of these due to a very loose association with Oundle School staff.
This time it was the turn of St Peters Church to host the wedding of Chris and Charlotte.
Wedding photography is always a joy, but never more so than when in the company of great guests, and a naturally beautiful bride.

Torrential rain didn’t dampen the spirits at yesterday’s wedding at Stamford and Normanton Park Hotel on the south shore of Rutland Water.
I was delighted to photograph the wedding of Nichola and David who braved the elements to walk down to the church at Normanton and were rewarded with a break in the clouds and a great sunset.
My best wishes to the guest who was interested in taking up wedding photography professionally – this one showed how important it is to be totally confident regardless of whatever is thrown at you on the day!

We couldn’t all walk down in the rain so we used the setting inside the Hall as well
A practice walk while we got up the courage to go right to the church!
well worth the walk – well done David and Nichola

Yesterday saw us photograph the third of this week’s weddings.
The bride and groom both looked stunning, always a bonus for great wedding photography!
We had done a site visit shortly before and found a lovely area with stream and bridge to compliment the couple’s chosen style of relaxed informal wedding photography.

The weather held out for a glorious wedding at Stamford All Saints and then Stoke Rochford Hall.
With so many locations to choose from for wedding photography at Stoke Rochford it was a joy to be the photographer for James and Juliette.
I can’t post without a special mention for Sophie, flowergirl, who did such an amazing job, and kept us all entertained through the day.
Well done Sophie!
